Some wedding days feel bigger than the details—they feel like legacy. Katelyn & Aiden’s September 6th celebration in Miller City was one of those days. From the embroidered veil stitched with their names to heirloom rings passed down through generations, everything about their wedding carried meaning.

Their love story began years ago as high school sweethearts, the kind of relationship that grew steadily and beautifully over time. And for me, this wedding was even more special—I grew up next door to Aiden, which made capturing this day feel personal, like watching a lifelong neighbor step into the happiest chapter of his life.

The Morning Of

The morning began quietly at their homes in Leipsic, full of anticipation and sentimental details. Katelyn’s dress, a Martina Liana gown from Twirl, hung ready with jewelry and heirlooms laid out nearby. Pieces of fabric from her late grandparents were sewn into her gown, and a small bag made from her mom’s veil was tucked into her details. Aiden’s ring, engraved with words chosen just for them, sat waiting in its box.

The first look moments were some of the sweetest—first with her dad, then with Aiden. Outside in the grass, their vows and emotions set the tone for the day ahead.

The Ceremony

At St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Katelyn walked down the aisle with her dad to a sanctuary filled with family, friends, and faith. The Mass was heartfelt and traditional, and by the time Father Scott announced them as husband and wife, the joy in the room was palpable.

Afterward, family photos were taken outside the church, followed by a stop at the cemetery next door where Katelyn laid flowers for her grandparents—a moment that tied the day back to its roots.

Portraits & Wedding Party

From there, the day turned celebratory. The wedding party boarded the Ultra Party Bus and made a stop at Macs Bar for a fun group shot, then headed to Katelyn & Aiden’s home to include their dog (because no love story is complete without your pup).

We spent time at Sycamore Lake Winery, where the vineyard gave them a romantic backdrop, and wrapped up portraits at the courthouse, capturing classic, timeless images of just the two of them. Every location carried a little bit of their story—and it showed.

The Reception

At the Putnam County Event Center, guests were welcomed into a space styled by Curated by Cameron. Tables were dressed with florals by Ivy Hutch, while cupcakes baked by Aiden’s grandma and a wedding cake from Cheri Vollmar-Box added sweet touches.

Introductions led into heartfelt speeches, dinner catered by Bavarian Catering, and a packed dance floor led by DJ Joe Bacon. Parent dances, an anniversary dance, and sunset portraits gave the evening depth, while cigars with the groomsmen added a signature touch of celebration.

A Day of Legacy and Love

Katelyn & Aiden’s day was full of beauty, but even more than that—it was full of meaning. Every choice, from heirloom rings to embroidered veils, told a story of legacy and love.
